Adoption Information
Our Adoption Process
At Countryside Cats, we believe finding the right home for each of our kittens is just as important as the love and care we put into raising them. We take great care in matching our kittens with loving, responsible families. Every kitten has their own unique personality, and we want to make sure they're going to a home where they'll be happy, loved, and well cared for.
Whether you've already fallen in love with one of our available kittens, want to give an extended-stayer the start to their next big adventure, or you're just beginning your search, if you have questions about our cats or the adoption process we're always happy to help! Get in touch with us!
Reservations & Deposits
If you're interested in welcoming one of our cats or kittens into your home, please email us to begin the adoption process. We'll take some time to get to know you, answer any questions you may have, and discuss whether one of our available companions would be a good fit for your home and lifestyle.
Once we've determined that we're a good match, we'll email you our Purchase Agreement for your review and signature.
Reservations & Deposits
To officially reserve your chosen cat or kitten, we'll need your completed Purchase Agreement returned along with a $300 deposit, payable through PayPal. With the remaining balance due in cash at the time of pickup. This deposit will be applied toward the total adoption price, with the remaining balance due at the time of pickup.
Adoption Pricing
Maine Coon Kittens: $1,500
Extended-Stayers: $800
Elsa & Pink (Together): $1,200
Elsa or Pink (Individually): $800 each
Elsa and Pink are mother and daughter, and while we would absolutely love to see them find a forever home together, we understand that adopting two cats isn't always possible. They are also available individually to the right homes.
Spay & Neuter Policy
All kittens and cats sold as pets through Countryside Cats are required to be spayed or neutered. Kittens must be spayed or neutered by one year of age, while older cats who have not yet undergone the procedure must be spayed or neutered within 6 months of purchase, unless otherwise specified in the Purchase Agreement.
Once the procedure has been completed, we ask that you provide us with written confirmation from your veterinarian. Upon receiving this documentation, we will send you the breeder slip (registration paperwork) needed to officially register your cat.
This policy helps us promote responsible pet ownership while ensuring the health and well-being of our cats and kittens.
Going Home
Each of our kittens receive age-appropriate veterinary care, including FVRCP (feline distemper combination) and FeLV (feline leukemia) vaccinations, along with a veterinary health examination before going home. We'll provide their available veterinary records so their new families know which vaccinations they've received and when additional doses may be needed.
Your kitten will also go home with a small care package containing some of their familiar food (wet and dry), litter, toys, and a special blanket carrying the comforting scents of their mother, siblings, and the family they've grown up with.
We hope these familiar little touches will help make the transition into their new home a bit easier!
Our Kitten Purchase Agreement
We provide a written purchase agreement outlining the terms and responsibilities involved in welcoming one of our kittens into your family.
We encourage prospective families to review the agreement carefully and ask any questions before making a commitment.

Waiting List
Don't see the kitten you're looking for? We'd be happy to keep you in mind for future litters!
Joining our waiting list allows us to contact you when kittens become available.
Please keep in mind that joining the list does not guarantee the availability of a kitten, placement in a particular litter, or approval for adoption.
We carefully plan our litters and prioritize finding the right home for each kitten and do not do first-come, first-served.
